The Picnic

Hosting and taking part in picnics became an incredibly fashionable trend in Britain from the 1850s onwards, an activity which is still very much alive in today's modern society. Picnics allow friends and family to spend time together in the outdoors and also provides an informal gathering to become something rather more engaging and social from a dining perspective. Participants can share both time and food together and more often that not the occasion can bring a certain creativity when it comes to the food, its display and presentations. Of course there is also the requirement of the baskets and hampers to transport the elements needed for the picnic. Picnics are a great concept to bring and share at an event such as Polo, Horse-racing or Motorsports, they allow an exploration of the great outdoors and bring people together in a way that few other dining experiences can.
