About GW Scott

GW Scott opened its first store in London, England in 1661. In 1851 the company invented the wicker picnic basket, which was both a revolutionary product and very much of-the-time. It was first shown during the Great Exhibition, which was held in Crystal Palace of Hyde Park in Central London.
GW Scott still make exquisite picnic baskets and hampers. As a fine example of the continuation of British craftsmanship, the wicker for our baskets is grown in England and then woven into hampers by craftspeople who have a long tradition working with this most versatile of materials. All of the items contained within a GW Scott hamper are made in the UK using the best materials and are constructed by the best craftsmen.
The hampers and baskets are made for you to enjoy and share and to create wonderful experiences with your friends and family.
